Spørsmål
Hello! I am coming from the USA to study in Norway for 2 years of study at UiO. I will eventually be on the national health scheme as a student, but I am hoping you can tell me what private health insurance plans are accepted by student health centers, so I can apply for one for them before I arrive this August. Thank you!
As a student in Oslo you are welcome to use SiO health services. These are health services for students, located both at Blindern and in Holbergs gate 21.
For these services, you have to pay for your appointments yourself at first. SiO do not handle det costs directly with your insuranse company. You will need to do this yourself afterwards.
You should therefore keep the invoice from the appointment and apply for this with your insurance company to get the refund.
We recommend that you have health insurance. Please check with your insurance company what medical costs can cover when you are in Norway.
